Hello! My name is Ava Buttacavoli and I am so excited to begin working as a reporter for Hometown News Group and the Daily Jefferson County Union!

I’ll be doing crime, courts, schools, and community reporting in a variety of communities in eastern Dane and Jefferson counties, including Lake Mills, Fort Atkinson, Cambridge, Deerfield, Waterloo and Marshall. My office will be in Lake Mills, but you will see me out and about in all of these communities.

I greatly look forward to getting to know these communities, and forming positive relationships along the way!

I am a senior online at the University of Maine, where I will be graduating in December! I am majoring in journalism and English, with a concentration in news writing and a minor in German.
