Neeti Upadhye is joining The Washington Post’s video team as supervising producer for evenings, overseeing breaking news video coverage on weekday afternoons and evenings.
She will act as a link between video operations in D.C. and Seoul. She begins Apr. 18.
Upadhye comes from Brut India, an independent digital video news organization. Before that, she was a video journalist and VR producer at the New York Times, where her team received a National Edward R. Murrow Award for Overall Excellence in 2017.
She has also worked as a video producer at NowThis News, and the Democrat and Chronicle in Rochester, N.Y.
Upadhye graduated from American University with a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism.
