Washington Post hires Mark as Morning Mix staff writer

The Washington Post has hired Julian Mark as a staff writer, Morning Mix.

Mark joins from Mission Local where he was a reporter. He has also interned at the San Francisco Business Times, the San Francisco Bay Guardian and the East Bay Express.

He was also a content writer at Optimum Design Associates and a staff writer/copy editor at The Inquirer of Diablo Valley College.

In 2020, he was named the year’s Outstanding Emerging Journalist by the Northern California chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists.

Mark is a graduate of Humboldt State University.
