Gina Harkins is joining The Washington Post as editor of Morning Mix.
Previously, she was a reporter at Military.com. She was also a senior digital content manager at Military Officers Association of America.
She has also held various roles, including deputy news editor, staff writer, news editor and managing editor at Marine Corps Times.
Harkins was also a national security reporter at the Medill National Security Journalism Initiative and Medill News Service, where she also served as a changing demographic reporter.
Harkins holds a master’s degree in journalism from Northwestern University.
