The following was sent out from The Washington Post:

Apple recently announced new updates to their podcast operating system, iOS 17, which will allow users to connect existing subscriptions to The Washington Post with Apple Podcasts. This new feature will provide a way for Apple Podcast listeners to directly access the multimedia journalism that is foundational to The Post’s work in audio.

“Our partnership with Apple Podcasts gives The Post an opportunity to deepen and expand our audience’s relationship with our core products,” said Renita Jablonski, Director of Audio for The Post, “Not only will this allow our listeners to dig further into the stories they care about, they will be able to better discover the full range of coverage you can only get from The Washington Post.”

From iOS 17: What’s new for Apple Podcasts:

This fall, listeners will be able to connect eligible subscriptions to top apps on the App Store with Apple Podcasts to access new shows and other benefits. This includes leading global news apps, such as Bloomberg, The Economist, L’Équipe, The Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, and WELT; health and fitness apps, including Calm; kids and family apps, like Lingokids; and many more. Apple Podcasts will automatically recognize these App Store subscriptions and add the corresponding channel or show to a listener’s Library.
