Kara Voght will join The Washington Post as a political reporter in Style. She will begin on March 27.
Voght joins from Rolling Stone, where she was a politics reporter. Before that, she was at Mother Jones, where she worked for four years, joining as an editorial fellow and then serving as a national politics reporter.
She has contributed to The Atlantic, The New Republic, Politico Magazine and Nieman Storyboard and was a reporter and data journalist at Politico. She interned at CBS News and NBCUniversal.
Voght has a bachelor’s degree from Vassar College and a master’s degree from Northwestern University.
