María Elena Ponticiello has joined WGBO Univision Chicago as a meteorologist for the station’s local newscasts.
She started the job this week, after taking a few months off to spend with family.
Her on-air debut is scheduled for Sunday, March 19.
Ponticiello most recently worked as a reporter, weather anchor and meteorologist at Telemundo Chicago from 2000 to late 2022.
A native of Mexico, Ponticiello previously hosted the TV Azteca México national prime time program “Rock Liquido” and was a reporter for Noticiero Hechos.
