Diana Swain, managing editor for investigative journalism at CBC News, announced her departure on X/Twitter:
“Drumroll time! After 33 years, this week marks my last at CBC News. It’s been a fantastic 3 decades reporting from all over Canada and the world, anchoring the news, and leading our incomparable investigative teams. Now, I’m ready for something new. Stay tuned!”
Swain joined CBC in October 1990 as a local news reporter.
She has also served as an Olympic morning co-host, CBC-Toronto 6 p.m. news anchor, senior investigative correspondent, senior investigative editor and executive producer of the award-winning investigative documentary program “The Fifth Estate.”
