Eric Garcia has been named Univision Miami’s president and general manager.
He succeeds Claudia Puig, who was promoted to a corporate government affairs position at TelevisaUnivision in April.
Garcia will report directly to Jesús Lara, president of local media at TelevisaUnivision.
Garcia will be responsible for the overall direction, strategy, and growth of Univision 23, TelevisaUnivision’s local radio stations, and a growing portfolio of local digital offerings.
He was most recently VP of multiplatform sales in New York and station manager in Washington DC and Philadelphia.
Garcia joined Univision in 2018 as director of audio sales.
He previously spent 14 years at the Spanish Broadcasting System, where he held several senior sales positions, culminating in his role as VP and GM and Radio Revenue Chief, also based in New York.
