Think News Brands has named Vanessa Lyons to the role of general manager as part of efforts to promote the value of premium news content as a partner for advertisers.
In her new role, Lyons will lead the organization’s mandate to shift the perception of news brands which reach 18.3 million Australians every month. She will also be lifting the value news brands offer marketers, highlighting the business impacts delivered by advertising in both print and digital news media.
Think News Brands was founded by News Corp Australia, Nine Entertainment Co and Seven West Media’s West Australian newspapers.
Lyons brings more than 20 years of marketing experience to the company. She was general manager, marketing and customer experience at Wilson Parking Australia. She was also group head of marketing at AUB Group Limited.
She also served as global head, strategy and channel marketing at Discover Financial Services and worked as a marketing communications manager at Superpartners. She also worked as a marketing manager at Telstra.
She also worked at Philips for more than 7 years, joining as a product marketing manager. Then, holding the post of global product and program manager, and then serving as marketing manager.
