The Times has tapped Alex Hickson to serve as an assistant news picture editor. Recently, he served as a deputy picture editor at The Independent.
Before that, Hickson held the posts of picture researcher, senior picture researcher and assistant picture editor at Metro.co.uk. He also reported for Northern & Shell in London.
Hickson has a bachelor’s and master’s degree from the University of Sussex.
