Aubrey Allegretti will join The Times as chief political correspondent. He comes from The Guardian, where he recently served as senior political correspondent.
Allegretti joined The Guardian in February 2021 as a political correspondent, a role in which he covered the parliament and U.K. government. He also hosted segments on the “Politics Weekly” podcast.
He has worked as a political reporter at Sky News and held the posts of news reporter and political reporter at HuffPost. Previously, he was a political researcher at The Times.
Allegretti has a B.A. from the University of Sussex and is an NCTJ-certified journalist.
