Emma Keith has been appointed editor at The Norman Transcript. Previously, she served as an education reporter and as a COVID-19 reporter.
Keith joined the Transcript from the Detroit Free Press where she was a reporter working with the Freep Now team to cover breaking and trending stories relevant to Detroit and Michigan.
She has also served as editor-in-chief of The OU Daily, a student newspaper at University of Oklahoma.
She has also worked as one of three reporters with Gaylord News, a Washington D.C.-based reporting program out of the University of Oklahoma. She was a reporting fellow at News21 and a news managing editor at The OU Daily.
She has also interned at AT&T.
Additionally, she has also served as senior news reporter, news editor and assistant news managing editor at The OU Daily.
Keith holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and Spanish from the University of Oklahoma.
