Suzette Lohmeyer has joined The Messenger as a senior editor for politics.
In her new role, Lohmeyer will oversee a team of seven political breaking news reporters and a deputy editor covering the White House, Congress, elections, agencies and media.
Recently, she was a senior editor at Grid, where she covered national news, focused on misinformation, data analysis, politics, religion, culture and diversity.
She worked as a newsletter editor, writer and homepage editor at NPR. She freelanced and served as a senior news producer for The Washington Post and as an editorial assistant/researcher for the National Journal.
Lohmeyer has a B.A. from the University of Mary Washington and a M.A. from George Mason University.
