The Guardian appoints Ames European sports correspondent

Nick Ames

The Guardian has promoted Nick Ames to European sports correspondent. Recently, he held the post of football journalist.

Previously, Ames was a reporter and features writer at Arsenal Football Club and worked as a tennis correspondent at East Anglian Daily Times.

Ames graduated from the University of Oxford.
