Telegraph reporter Barber goes freelance

Harriet Barber

Harriet Barber, a global health reporter for The Telegraph, has left to go freelance. She joined in July 2018 as a newsletter writer and editor. Her beat included video production and covered human rights abuses, violence against women and extreme poverty

Barber also served as a news and foreign sub-editor producing major breaking news stories, page leads and foreign dispatches. She also led the digital news desk and coordinated visual storytelling projects with the SEO, social media and graphics teams.

She was one of two presenters for The Telegraph’s video series, “Global Health: Explained.”

She also freelanced.

Barber has a bachelor’s degree in English literature from the University of Reading.
