Kate Hunter has been hired by Axios to be its politics editor.
She has been White House and politics editor for Bloomberg News. She previously was Washington bureau morning editor.
Hunter has previously been a U.S. politics editor for Bloomberg. She helped launch “Balance of Power,” Bloomberg’s global politics newsletter.
She previously was a senate correspondent for Bloomberg, covering breaking news and enterprise stories from Senate legislation and campaigns.
Hunter previously worked at CQ Roll Call as a reporter. She also worked at Stateline.org and the Chapel Hill News in North Carolina.
She is a UNC-Chapel Hill graduate.
