Jared Brown has joined Tacoma radio station KNKX-FM 88.5 as a reporter via the Poynter-Koch fellowship to cover law, policing and general news assignments.
Brown freelanced for various Washington state publications, including The Spokesman-Review in Spokane; he also worked as a criminal legal accountability reporter at The News Tribune in Tacoma.
Brown served as a Seattle reporter at Courthouse News Service and was a public safety and general assignment reporter at The Spokesman-Review.
Brown has a bachelor’s degree from Gonzaga University in Spokane and a master’s degree from the University of Washington.
