Benjamin Schneider, a staff writer at the San Francisco Examiner has left. Benjamin Schneider tweets:
“Covering my hometown for the Ex and SF Weekly over the past two years has been an awesome experience. There’s no better way to get to know a city than working as a local reporter. For now, I’m going freelance to do more national-level reporting on these same issues.
“I’m also beginning work on a book project that I hope can offer an accessible intro to American urbanism, exploring how the current physical form of cities came to be and highlighting the growing movement that is rethinking the urban planning status quo.”
Previously, Schneider was a staff writer for SF Weekly and covered transportation, housing and culture for CityLab as an editorial fellow.
Schneider graduated from Columbia College, Columbia University.
