Scribner joins Axios as breaking news reporter

Herb Scribner

Axios has hired Herb Scribner as a breaking news reporter. He joins from Deseret News in Salt Lake City, where he worked as a trending and entertainment editor.

Scribner previously wrote weekly soccer columns for Newsday. He has experience covering faith, family, finance, culture, education and more as a former national news writer for the Deseret News National Edition. In addition, he worked as an enterprise reporter at Deseret Morning News.

As a blogger, he contributed to USA Today and MassLive.com.

Scribner has a B.A. in journalism from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
