Alexandria Bordas has joined the nonprofit San José Spotlight as managing editor. Recently, she held the same post at the nonprofit Monterey Bay Aquarium.
Bordas was an investigative reporter at the San Francisco Chronicle, where she was named “Journalist of the Year 2021” at the 36th Annual Excellence in Journalism Awards by The Society of Professional Journalists.
There, her investigative series was named a semi-finalist for the 2022 Goldsmith Prize.
She also reported for The Press Democrat and the Asheville Citizen-Times Media Group.
She was also a fellow at the Miami Herald Media Company.
Bordas has a B.A. from California State University-Fullerton and a master’s degree from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
