Stars and Stripes has promoted Robert H. Reid to editor-in-chief from his post of senior managing editor. He has been with Stars and Stripes for more than nine years.
Reid has replaced Terry Leonard, who retired after 15 years on the job.
Previously Reid worked for more than four decades at The Associated Press. In 45 illustrious years, he was a foreign/world news desk editor, news editor, bureau chief and roving Middle East correspondent.
His other posts included European news editor, news director for Afghanistan/Pakistan, regional manager/Middle East, and bureau for Germany, Switzerland and Austria.
