Axios Local is set to launch a new newsletter in San Diego, which will come out on July 24. The newsletter will be co-authored by reporters Kate Murphy and Andrew Keatts.
Previously, Murphy was a higher education reporter at The News & Observer, a role she also held at Enquirer Media, where she joined in November 2015 as a breaking news reporter. She was a fellow at the Poynter Institute and News21. She interned at GateHouse Media. Murphy graduated from Elon University in North Carolina. Be sure to congratulate Murphy on Twitter.
Keatts joins from Voice of San Diego, where he has worked for more than 10 years, holding the posts of investigative reporter and assistant editor. There, he covered politics, housing and public transportation. Keatts graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University. Be sure to congratulate Keatts on Twitter.
