Dafna Linzer will be joining Politico as executive editor. In her new role, Linzer will be steering the daily report across the newsroom and overseeing the news, Washington and politics, states and enterprise teams. She will also be helping with recruitment.
She will be based in Washington and begins her new role on April 25 reporting to editor-in-chief Matt Kaminski.
Currently, she is a spring politics fellow at Georgetown University’s Institute of Politics and Public Service. Before that, she has served as managing editor for politics at NBC News. She was also managing editor for digital and MSNBC.
She has also worked as a senior investigative reporter at ProPublica and as a national security correspondent at The Washington Post. She has also held the posts of UN correspondent, senior editor on the foreign desk and foreign correspondent at The Associated Press.
