Tim Trainor has joined the Klamath Falls Herald and News as its new editor.
He says, “It’s pretty overwhelming. Getting dropped into a new place… To figure out what the local culture is, who do I need to talk to – who do I need to meet.”
He further adds that a few changes are in planning for the publication “to increase the art, both in print, and online – I think we’ll do a lot more video and audio work.”
Prior to joining Herald and News, Trainor was serving as deputy managing editor at EO Media Group, a post he held for six years before leaving in 2018.
Before that, Trainor was a journalist/editor at The Montana Standard and has also worked as a reporter at St. Maries Gazette.
Trainor is a B.S. in magazine journalism from Ohio University and a M.A. in multimedia journalism from University of Oregon Graduate School.
