The New York Times has promoted Haley Willis to the post of video journalist. Previously, she was a visual investigations reporter working across enterprise and breaking news investigations. She joined The Times in 2019 as part of the inaugural fellowship video program.
She has also worked at the Institute of East Asian Studies UC Berkeley as a student assistant. She was also a community, rights and gender intern at The Global Fund to fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.
Additionally, she has also worked at Human Rights Center, UC Berkeley School of Law, and was a public relations and political consulting intern at Telegraph LLC.
Willis is a B.A. in sociology and media studies from the University of California, Berkeley.
