The New York Times has promoted Elian Peltier to the post of West Africa correspondent. He will be based in Dakar. Previously, he was a breaking news reporter.
Peltier has also worked as a reporter at The Times, and was a freelance reporter, Paris bureau. He was also a VR journalist at TARGO in France and has interned at Vice, Al Jazeera and The New York Times. He was also a public life and local government reporter at Columbia Missourian.
