Paul Sonne has joined The New York Times as a Russia correspondent. Recently, he was a national security correspondent at The Washington Post, where he worked for five years.
Previously, Sonne was at The Wall Street Journal, where he worked for more than eight years. There, he held the posts of London correspondent, Moscow correspondent and national security correspondent.
Sonne has a bachelor’s degree from Columbia University and a master’s degree from the University of Oxford, where he was a Marshall Scholar.
