The New York Times newsroom audience team has tapped Michelle L. Dozois as audience deputy, Victoria Niemeyer as head of search and Anna Schaverien as London SEO editor.
Dozois will oversee the London and weekend audience editors and the audience editors on Well and Metro. Dozois joined the Times in 2014 as an inaugural audience team in 2014. As senior audience editor, she connected the audience team and the newsroom analytics team, and with audience editors across each desk. Dozois is an embedded member of the Trust team. Dozois graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
Niemeyer will lead the team’s editorial search efforts. Previously, Niemeyer held the posts of project manager, senior project manager, program manager, SEO manager for strategy and operations, and associate director. Niemeyer has a B.S. from Stevenson University in the Baltimore area.
In her new role, Schaverien will work with editors in London and New York, optimize stories, help strategize for big news events and continue to provide insight into what’s trending. Schaverien joined the Times as an intern in 2017, and recently, served as a news assistant. She worked in PR and at outlets including Global, and as a contributor at Forbes. Schaverien graduated from Durham University Durham, England.
