Nutt has also worked freelance for The National, The Times, The Herald, the Mail on Sunday, the News of the World, and The Tablet. She was also a reporter/political correspondent at the Sunday Times.
Nutt has also served as a reporter/deputy news editor at the Greenock Telegraph and was a crime reporter at the Edinburgh Evening News.
Nutt has a B.A. from the University of Essex and an M.A. from the University of Warwick. She holds a postgraduate diploma in journalism from City, University of London.
