Maddie Biertempfel will be joining CBS 42 as Alabama State Capitol reporter, working for stations across the state.
She begins Feb. 17.
She currently produces and anchors three weekend shows, and reports on a few stories daily during the week at KXMB-TV, a dual CBS/CW+-affiliated TV station in Bismarck, North Dakota. She has also worked as a politics reporter at the station.
She has also held internships at C-SPAN and Fox News.
Biertempfel earned dual degrees in broadcast journalism and political science at Penn State.
