New York-Vermont NBC affiliate names Strzepa 4 p.m. anchor

Liz Strzepa

WPTZ-TV Ch. 5, an NBC affiliate in Plattsburgh, N.Y. that also serves Burlington, Vt., has appointed Liz Strzepa 4 p.m. anchor. Recently, she was an anchor and reporter.

Strzepa has been with the Hearst Television TV station for more than eight years, also serving as a news reporter. She worked at the UMass Journalism Department for more than a year holding various posts, including journalism peer advisor.

In addition, she interned at WPRI-TV Ch. 12, a CBS- and MyNetworkTV-affiliate in Providence, R.I.; WCVB-TV Ch. 5, Boston’s ABC station; and WGGB-TV Ch. 40, an ABC, Fox and MyNetworkTV affiliate in Springfield, Mass.

Strzepa has a B.A. in broadcast journalism from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
