Matthew d’Ancona will join The New European as editor at large. In his new role, he will contribute to a weekly column and a soon-to-launch podcast.
D’Ancona is an award-winning journalist and contributor to The New York Times’ international edition since 2013, as well as an Evening Standard columnist since 2009.
He served as editor and partner at Tortoise Media and was a columnist/political editor at GQ Magazine, where he worked for more than 14 years.
He has also worked at the Guardian, the Spectator and the Sunday Telegraph.
D’Ancona graduated from the University of Oxford.
