NBC News has stated that is is ahead in plans for the digital transformation of its political show “Meet the Press.” The network plans to rebrand its separate website for the franchise, overhaul the political newsletter and add a blog.
The move comes after NBC announced that “Meet the Press” would move from MSNBC at 1 p.m. to the network’s 24/7 news streaming service “NBC News Now” at 4 p.m. The changes are expected to take effect in June.
“Really where we are putting a lot of our time, attention and investment is on these other platforms,” said Carrie Budoff Brown, senior vice president of “Meet the Press” at NBC News. “This is where we see our growth.”
