N.C. TV station reporter Fisher set to depart

Joe Fisher

Joe Fisher, an investigative reporter and anchor at WRAL-TV Ch. 5, a TV station in Raleigh, N.C., is set to depart. His tweet reads:

“After 5 amazing years, I’m signing off @WRAL Thank you for your trust & support. Even on the toughest days, it’s been a true honor to criss-cross #NorthCarolina to keep y’all informed. My last day at WRAL-TV is May 24.”

Previously, Fisher was a reporter and fill-in-anchor at WAVY-TV Ch. 10, an NBC-affiliate in Portsmouth, Va. He has also worked as a night side reporter and fill-in-anchor at KSWO-TV Ch. 7, an ABC- and Telemundo-affiliate in Lawton, Okla.

He interned at NBCUniversal.

Fisher graduated from Bloomsbury University of Pennsylvania.
