Simon Murfitt has joined Newsquest as an editor of its North London office in Watford, UK where he will be overseeing a group of weekly newspapers.
Previously, he was at Reach Plc, where he was a content editor/site lead for Bedfordshire Live and has also served as head of print content for Cambridge, Essex and Herts. He was also head of print at Trinity Mirror plc.
Murfitt has also previously held the post of news editor at Herts and Essex Newspapers and has reported for Essex Chronicle Media Group.
Murfitt has a B.A. in print journalism from Nottingham Trent University.
