“It’s been an honor and a privilege to serve you through teachers strikes, school closures, and so many school finance committees.”
Meltzer has been with Chalkbeat for the past six years. In April 2016, she helped launch Denverite, a member-supported news organization acting as a source for local news and public policy coverage.
She covered city government, social issues and politics for The Daily Camera in Boulder. She was also a government reporter at the Arizona Daily Star.
She also reported on local government, education and economic development for the Daily Herald in Chicago.
