Alan Halaly will join the Las Vegas Review-Journal to cover the water beat. He wrote on X/Twitter:

Halaly will begin in January.
Since January 2022, he has been a multimedia reporter at WUFT News. There, he also became a fellow at the Pulitzer Center for Crisis Reporting twice.
He covered general assignment news as an intern at The Gainesville Sun and served as a climate change and environment reporting intern at The Miami Herald. He also interned at the Daily Beast and Miami New Times.
An award-winning environmental journalist, Halaly has a B.S. in journalism from the University of Florida, where he was editor-in-chief of the student newspaper, The Independent Florida Alligator.
