Hearst announces a departure and a promotion

Kate Lewis, chief content officer at Hearst Magazines, has announced her departure after more than nine years.

Lewis’ previous roles at the company include VP for content operations and editorial director, and SVP and editorial director for Hearst Magazines Digital Media. She also served as SVP, editorial director and content operations at Say Media in New York.

She has also worked at Condé Nast and Self Magazine.

Lewis graduated from Amherst College.

Lucy Kaylin

Lucy Kaylin, VP of print content, has been appointed editorial director. She has been at Hearst Magazines for more than a decade.

Kaylin has held the posts of executive editor of Marie Claire magazine, deputy editor and then editor-in-chief of O, The Oprah Magazine. Before that, she was at Condé Nast, where she worked for 20 years.

During her two-decade career, she served as a research associate for Vogue Magazine and held the posts of features editor, special correspondent, senior writer and staff writer for GQ Magazine.

Kaylin has a B.A. from Hobart and William Smith Colleges in New York and an M.A. from Columbia University in New York.
