NPR has hired Drew Hawkins as a health equity reporter, based in the Gulf States newsroom. Recently, he was at Renaissance Publishing LLC, where he worked as a writer and research database coordinator.
Previously, Hawkins was a contract writer at nonprofit donation plugin for WordPress GiveWP. He also served as a content editor at wikiHow.
Hawkins has a B.A. from Louisiana State University.
