Global News promotes Connolly to ME of politics, breaking news

Amanda Connolly

Global News has tapped Amanda Connolly to serve as managing editor of politics and breaking news. Recently, Connolly was an online national reporter covering federal politics.

She was a national security reporter at iPolitics Canada and reported for the CBC Calgary web team as well as local CBC Radio programs. At Avenue Magazine, she focused on cultural hotspots and must-see places in Calgary.

Connolly graduated from Carleton University in Ottawa with a degree in journalism.
