Friend moves to Gannett’s Michigan desk as digital producer

Phil Friend, digital sports reporter at The Lansing State Journal will shift to Gannett’s Michigan desk as a digital producer for its 14 daily newspapers, including the Lansing State Journal.

Previously, Friend served as a digital sports producer for the Journal, a post he also held at The Indianapolis Star and the Journal & Courier in Indiana. He was a sports editor at two Indiana outlets: The Star – KPC Media Group in Kendallville and the Frankfort Times in Frankfort.

Friend graduated from Ball State University.
