Ryan Fonseca has joined the Los Angeles Times as a writer for its “Essential California” newsletter. Fonseca is an instructor in the journalism department at California State University.
Recently, Fonseca was an associate editor for LAist.com at Southern California Public Radio. He was a digital news editor at the Los Angeles Daily News and from June 2015 to July 2016, served as an assistant web editor for Times Community News at the Los Angeles Times.
Fonseca graduated from California State University, Northridge.
