E.W. Scripps has announced a reorganization of its local media organization.
Dean Littleton (pictured) has been appointed senior vice president of local media for The E.W. Scripps Company. He comes from Scripps owned KMGH in Denver, where he has been the vice president and general manager since 2017.
Littleton will be responsible for directing the operations of Scripps’ local stations.
“Dean has shown tremendous leadership in Denver,” said Lisa Knutson, chief operating officer. “He is committed to great journalism, and he has a vision for increasing engagement and growing trust with our communities.”
Before joining Scripps to run KMGH, Littleton was general manager at WATE in Knoxville, Tenn., and general sales manager at WVLT in Knoxville. He’s also worked at KUSA in Denver and at WBIR in Knoxville. He started his career as a news photographer and editor at WBIR.
