The Dallas Morning News has tapped Leezel Tanglao to serve as an assistant managing editor, digital. Her portfolio will also include the audience and research/archives, planning and multiplatform teams. Recently, she served as senior digital director.
Previously, Tanglao served as director of audience insights and innovation at The Points Guy and served as senior editor for membership and innovation at HuffPost.
She worked at The Associated Press and held the posts of senior multiplatform editor and assistant managing editor, programming at CNN Business. She has also worked as an online editor at Vice News and CBS Interactive, where she was also a writer.
She also held editorial roles at NowThis News and ABC News. She interned at The Salt Lake Tribune.
Tanglao has a B.A. from Loyola Marymount University and a M.A. from UCLA.
