Affan Chowdhry, a senior planning editor at CNN, has left. His tweet reads:
“#Journalism takes a team; I’m grateful I got to work with the best. To my #CNN family, thank you…and I’ll miss you! Today, I start with the media & communications team at the United Nations Population Fund.”
Previously, Chowdhry was deputy foreign editor at The Globe and Mail. He worked at CNN from June 2005 to July 2011 as multimedia journalist.
He also worked at CBC and Toronto Life Magazine.
Chowdhry has a bachelor’s degree from Queen’s University and another bachelor’s degree from Ryerson University. He has a master’s degree from SOAS University of London.
