CNN Audio has tapped Matt Martinez to serve as a showrunner for its newest weekly podcast, “The Assignment with Audie Cornish.” Martinez joined from On Being Studios, where he was a senior producer.
Previously, he served as the director of content at KNKX-FM 88.5 , a public radio station in Tacoma, Wash. He worked at NPR for more than eight years, including as a producer for “All Things Considered” and “Weekend Edition Saturday.”
He created “The Bryant Park Project,” a multi-platform morning show on Sirius Satellite Radio.
Martinez is a graduate of Northern Arizona University,
