NY Times names Swan to politics team

Jonathan Swan

Jonathan Swan will join The New York Times’ politics team in January. Recently, Swan was a political reporter at Axios.

Swan will cover Republicans in Congress and the 2024 election as of next summer. Swan joined Axios in 2016 from The Hill. Previously, he covered politics for the Sydney Morning Herald and The Age.

Swan is the recipient of the 2022 White House Correspondents’ Association Aldo Beckman award for overall excellence in White House coverage.
