The Washington Post has hired Kelly Kasulis Cho as a breaking news reporter and editor for its Seoul hub. Cho has been working as a staff editor at the New York Times in Seoul, where she works on the homepage, newsletters and push alerts.
She starts Sept. 19.
Previously, she served as managing editor/reporter of independent news outlet covering North Korea, NK News. She also covered the Koreas as a freelance foreign correspondent for Public Radio International, BBC World Service and Bloomberg BNA.
She worked as a digital editor for the GroundTruth Project and as a contributor to the Boston Globe.
Cho graduated from Northeastern University.
