Recently turned nonprofit The Chicago Reader has named Enrique Limón editor in chief.
Limón served as founding editor and editor in chief of Independent en Español, The Independent’s international endeavor created to serve the Latin American audience in the U.S. and other Spanish-speaking markets globally.
He worked as an independent multimedia editor and journalist and was editor in chief of the Salt Lake City Weekly. He was deputy editor of the New Mexico weekly The Santa Fe Reporter.
He was a columnist and features writer at San Diego CityBeat.
Limón graduated from USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism.
